JUST when talks about increasing cultural exchange between India and Pakistan is picking up pace, a Vadodara girl visited the neighbouring country to take part in a week-long leadership interaction meet with the youths of Karachi. And the sparkle in Nausheen Rahimi’s eyes, as she talks about the visit, assures she will not forget the trip for years to come.
Wearing an orange T-shirt signed with good wishes from her new friends, Nausheen says, ‘I had several notions about Pakistani youths. But, they shattered my illusions. They are just like us: ambitious, fun-loving and very outgoing. I thought they would be very conservative, but they are totally cool and good-looking too.’
