Siachen – A Big Potential For Pakistan-India Collaboration: US Experts

American scientists have urged India and Pakistan to set up a joint science center at the Siachen Glaciers that will greatly help both the countries economically.
They strongly believed that if the two nations pull out troops and replace the military forces in the region with scientists and engineers (from India and Pakistan) “who would advance the knowledge in science and engineering by operating a high-altitude research station for the study of basic sciences, engineering and human physiology”.
The experts further said that the study of the glacier could lead the two nations study the monsoon patterns for the next times to come and help properly manage the world’s largest water reserves…
