Ericsson gets Pakistan GSM/GPRS network order

Ericsson further strengthens its industry leadership in managed services by the signing of a services contract with Warid Telecommunications Pvt. Limited (Warid Telecom) in Pakistan. The contract with Warid Telecom covers the first phase of its nationwide GSM/GPRS network, covering 28 major cities.

Under the contract, Ericsson will provide turnkey network design, deployment and integration of a complete GSM/GPRS solution, including supply of core and radio network infrastructure. In providing managed services, Ericsson takes full responsibility for operation and maintenance as well as optimization of Warid’s network.
