Pakistan team seeks Indian tie-ups in dentistry
The Pakistan Dental Association wants to collaborate with India in higher education and training in dentistry and buy equipment and materials from here.
A 150-member delegation from Pakistan Dental Association, participating in a four-day Federation Dentaire International (FDI) conference that began here Friday, made this interest evident. Over 4,500 delegates are attending the mega exhibition-cum-conference with participation from countries like the US, Britain, Australia, Sweden and Romania.
The Pakistani delegation, led by president of the Pakistan Dental Association Kamran Asfi, comprises faculty members, dental practitioners and manufacturers.
“There is considerable interest among members of the Pakistan dental fraternity, including the teaching faculty, to collaborate with Indian counterparts,” said Ahmed Shahnawaz, a dental practitioner and representative of Pegasus Consultancy, a leading event management firm in Pakistan.
