Free Phone Connections Given in Karachi

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has given over 42,000 free of cost phone connections in Karachi during its two-week long ‘Bilkul Muft’ Scheme.
On September 2, the state-owned telecom giant launched its ‘Bilkul Muft’ Scheme under which the phone utility waived a Rs750 fee for demand note for two weeks to install free of cost telephone connections in a bid to grab its share in the deregulated era.
The PTCL provided 42,117 free of cost telephones in various localities of the metropolis during its ‘Bilkul Muft’ Scheme. Some 18,104 phones were installed in Southern Telecom Region (STR-II) and 24,013 free connections given…
