Pakistani Painter’s Exhibition in Oman from 30th
Being the abode of a heterogeneous society, Muscat is fast becoming the hub of happenings. An array of events continues to take place with the weekends starting to offer a multitude of activity and entertainment. One of the highlights of the coming weekend is going to be an art exhibition by talented Pakistani painter Shehla Rehman.
Shehla, whose sensitive persona is amply reflected in the powerful impression of her perceptive paintings, has largely chosen to highlight violence against women. A self-proclaimed crusader against various social evils, child abuse and terrorism, this Pakistani artist of some merit makes no bones about where her brush is at its brightest. Violence against humanity, particularly the weaker sex, hurts her soul and that is why some of her best works have been created to emphasise and unmask the worst form of social cruelty…
