Indian Film Set to Hit Pakistan
Top Indian actress Aishwarya Rai’s latest film Bride and Prejudice will hit Pakistani cinemas by December-end. This is seen as a necessary stepping-stone to the co-production of films between India and Pakistan, the Daily Times quoted sources as saying.
According to the paper, Samina Peerzada, a Pak-based film critic who is a staunch supporter of Indo-Pak co-productions, said that the release of Bride & Prejudice in Pakistan would be a great moment in the history of Pakistani cinema.
Similarly, Sana, a film actress who supports co-productions between the two countries, said that Bride & Prejudice would have mass audience appeal due to Aishwarya Rai. She said that there should be an exchange of films between the two countries, adding that she had recently signed on to Kafla, an Indian film starring Sunny Deol.
