Norwegian School to Teach in Pakistan
Oslo’s Lindeberg School will cooperate with two schools in Pakistan next year to help bring Norwegian classes to hundreds of Norwegian-Pakistani children living in Kharian. Over half of all Norwegian-Pakistanis stem from the village around the little city of Kharian in the Punjab province in northern Pakistan, an area also known as Little Norway. There are 598 Norwegian-Pakistani children living temporarily in Pakistan. Bloomfield Hall School in Kharian is one of the institutions that will be working with Lindeberg School. Evening classes in the Norwegian language are already taught here and the school has about 100 students with ties to Norway…
