Pakistani Counselor Helps Rebuild American Lives

Bhatti oversees a residential program to help recently released prisoners adjust to life outside prison. The program lasts 10 months and currently has 13 residents, but over the last four years it’s had about 190 participants, all of them male. During the first five months in the program, residents promise not to take jobs, but instead to concentrate on changing their thought and behavior patterns.
