New Oil and Gas Discoveries in Pakistan

MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Company announced Monday that it has made a new (second) discovery of oil and gas in the Tal Block, located in the Northern Western Frontier Province of Pakistan. Exploration activity already resulted in a discovery (Manzalai-1 well) in December 2002, and following the first discovery, the consortium decided to continue the exploration in the block. Seismic acquisitions performed in 2003 resulted in another attractive geological prospect, so the consortium decided to drill a new exploratory well (Makori-1) in 2004.
