Pakistani Doctor Performs First Disc Replacement in America

Bajwa returns to the operating room today at Wilson to implant the artificial disc, known as Charite, in a fourth patient who traveled around the world for the procedure. The patient is a native of Bajwa’s homeland, Pakistan. There, the Southern New York Neurosurgical Group physician has become somewhat of a medical celebrity.
