Sajjad Tafoo, a Pakistani guitarist, is working on a tune to pay tribute to all saints and Sufis at their shrines and tombs. The singer says he draws inspiration from Sakhi Lal Shehbaz Qalanadr of Sehvan Sharif, Sindh. ‘I had no money in my pocket, but still managed to get tickets to pay a visit to Sakhi Lal Shehbaz Qalandar’s tomb with my mother. The same evening I received my very first cheque (worth Rs 50,000) for a programme, ‘ Sajjad, the son of legendary tabla player Ustad Tafoo Khan, told Daily Times on Thursday. Sajjad said he had plans to spend the proceeds from the instrumental album on the homeless and needy.
