A 19-year-old boy from Lahore — Omar Zafar — couldn’t bear to see his father suffer due to poor eyesight. He decided to contact eye hospitals in India. In a letter to Venu Eye Institute at Sheikh Sarai, he wrote that his family could not afford to pay the treatment bill and requested them to help. Zafar came to India by the Lahore bus. It was pure luck that Venu Eye Institute had a cornea in their eye donation bank at that time. The hospital contacted him and and he was operated upon two days later. “It is a miracle and I don’t have enough words to thank the hospital and its doctors.
