Filthy Morning TV Shows

Morning shows have now become more popular among Pakistani women. Every morning right after finishing their duties, they merely switched on their TV, switch from channel to channel to relishing themselves with morning shows being shown in different TV channels.

I was too fond of those shows at times during my pre graduation period. It was so exciting to watch \"wedding weeks\" for me at that time. Those were pretty good, quite exciting to know about different traditions and rituals of wedding in different societies.. Public issues and their context had also been discussed. National heroes were being invited to share their life stories and success stories. Masses were being able to get health or beauty tips through live calls.

Gone are the days, Morning shows have lost their charm, showing filthy stuff and obscenity in the name of entertainment.

A while back, morning shows had set about a campaign against dowry custom which is being practised in our society. Well that was the good move to make the masses well acquainted about the evil those erupt huge scuffles between the two families. Couples became embittered toward each other and most specifically Girls suffer a lot. After a while, what we get to see, these morning shows launched a new trend of celebrity wedding, in which they had brought in some outdated wedding rituals, hosts & guests, bride and the groom wearing designer dresses, dance performances had also been shown. Initially they set the foundation of anti Jahez movement and now they are nurturing extravagance in our society. Whereas a large portion of Pakistani society consists of lower middle class or poor, they cannot even afford such lavish weddings. Those unwanted and outdated rituals should have ended at once rather than in encouraging them further.

At present, morning shows have just started to introduce some redundant or causeless rituals for different occasions. Likewise, Bachelors Party or a farewell before getting married has been extravagantly celebrated. Meanwhile, Wedding rituals, for instance \"Dholki\" basically originated from the ritual \"Sangeet\".

People are so much concern for having fair complexion in our society. Unfortunately, many females who are having darker skin tone have also been rejected for marriage. People are having fair-complexion complex. Nowadays, many beauticians, dermatologists, herbalists have been invited in morning shows and they suggest different ways, beauty tips or medical treatments to get a fair skin tone. Nothing is wrong in taking care of yourself or your skin. Similarly, if anyone uses a sunscreen, cleansing products, and make-up nothing at all wrong. Contrarily, females are using fairness creams even those who can afford, in the quest of fairness also have medical surgeries for getting fairer skin tone. Media is considered an effective source of changing mentality. They should make their effort to stamp out this complex thinking.

There are many people in our society who are the hero of their own story, those who firmly believes that the ocean is made up of tiny drop of water. They are playing their part in bringing positivity into this space. There are many young and talented people who needed to have a platform to make known their ideas. These morning shows could be the best platform for them. Instead of showing some old faces, invite those from different fields who could be the true mentor for our younger generation. Try to bring some positive energy in our society and better to be discussed some issues like role of women, child marriages, child labor, female education etc. Its time to get down to brass tacks.

Few days ago. I watched a morning show. I had an unexpected shock! They had launched a dance competition in which transgender people were competing with each other. These people are the most neglected and unneeded in our society. They mostly find it hard to get a job, to live respectably; even their own families disown them at a very young age.

They are called to dance in weddings frequently. They are often found on begging in traffic signals. Unfortunately, some of them are forced into prostitution to earn a living. There are so many issues related to those people. Their problems should have been figure out in a better way or to find out their solution, to bring a positive change in the people\'s mindset about them and to make our society a safer place to be for these masses. But all their concern is a high TRP through their poor quality shows.

Media Industry is reshaping our lives. It must contribute to bring about a positive change in the attitude of the masses. The mass media could become a useful source of eliminating wasteful practices occur in our society. Meanwhile, there are several other matters to discuss than showing off expensive jewellery, endorsing branded cloths and celebrating grand expensive marriages.
