It may be innate, assumed, or reactive - "being 'stupid with grief' as a defence against psychological trauma", a state marked with "grief and despair... making even simple daily tasks a hardship."
One of the major programmes of media among many others is to make sure people do not think and use the intelligence, understanding, reason, wit or sense of their own. In other words, make people stupid and help few to rule. This programme is called "do as you are told"
Pakistan is one of the countries where this programme is a huge success. This is due to many cultural reasons like
- Pakistan is among very few countries where a large number of news viewers are women. Many women before this news media were interested in the news of neighbours, neighbours of neighbours, but now politics.
- The literacy rate is poor
- Most of the children in school are treated by teachers in "do as you are told" manner, so nation is already trained since childhood for this programme.
- Military dictator also impose the same rule
- People have a strange psychological behaviour never seen before in history of the world which is not yet understood by psychologists. In this special type of behaviour, people with inferiority complex also have superiority complex.
Media, which uses this programme extensively in Pakistan is also the biggest black maker in the region. It makes sure that no one is in their way and the agenda is imposed on masses without any issue.
In such environment, it is very easy for any bigger power to impose their agenda on nation, without any problem. The goals of agenda can be to get the natural resources, occupy the trade routes etc., but make people feel as if this is for religion.
The biggest challenge faced by media in order to run this programme is to make people watch news channel. More people watch news, more they will become zombies .
This was achieved by adding a lot of entertainment factor in the news. Unlike other news channel of the world, Pakistani news channels are full of fun, gossips, colour and entertainment, the way of delivering news is also inclined towards entertainment.
The news is given to people so that they remain entertained, funny and comedy programme on politics keep the interest of people. The most famous film stars and comedy actors of Pakistan are doing political programmes now on news channels. This was a nice move by media, which kept the audience waiting for the programmes.
We as humans have a part of brain called "old brain". The only task of this part is to look for 3 things around us which are Food, Sex and Death.
These are the three things a human can never ignore because this is the basic element of a living being to look for food, to make sure it reproduces and avoid death.
The old brain is responsible for us to slow down on road when there is a traffic accident, even if you don't want to watch it, you will surely try to gaze at what happened in the accident. If someone is eating delicious food in front of you than it will be looked at it even if you don't want to eat it.

The major question her is that why media wants to do this and make people stupid? Is it due to the fact that they want to impose a foreign agenda? They want more viewer ship to make money?
