Turkish Dramas

Long time ago there used to be only one channel. The time was fixed for well written dramas. As clock hits 8pm families sit together in one TV lounge. They were supposed to be enough entertainment for a day.
The stories were breath taking and could easily be watched with kids. Yes, that was the "GOLDEN ERA" of PTV.
Today we have entered in new era of dramas. From sepia screen of Khua ki baasti, Tanhaiyan, Dhuwan and many others to new "Turkish Delight". The cake of over loaded jewellery, make and cherry on top the sound effects is no more in demand. The evil plans, immoral stories, and dark sinful relationships of Indian land are now rejected by those who love them once as if they were like their own family members.
Confection based on a gel of starch and then rolled in sugar called Turkish Delight. This delightful dramas hit our society just like "oh they are like us" the Muslims. The innocent but highly fashionable people of Pakistan didn't know that Turkey has influence of Europe.
The Ishq-e-mamnu, Noor and many like those are there. Again, their high tower building, well settled bungalow and modern dresses fascinating the eye of a common men/women. Fashion trend are forced to be changed once again.
Is this an other threat to our culture???
Every private channel in Pakistan is bound to be happily put Turkish Delight on-air. Knowing that they are religiously like us. They have acceptability of wearing fancy ball gowns so why can't we???
This point is a burning issue these days.
Our local dramas are getting applause of appreciation not only in Pakistan but all across the world. They are like a breath of fresh air. The dramas today like meri zaat zara-e-beneshan, Hum safar, Num and many more are among favourites. The thought provoking stories, the well balanced scenes, the true acting making them unique.
It is known fact that Indian dramas has effected our society morally and took charge to lead our minds the way they were presenting. What will be the effect of Sweet Turkish Delight on us?
